Fishing opportunities abound in this area. Regardless of your favorite species, there are places in the area to go and flyfish, troll, baitfish, or icefish in season. Seavey Lake, Long Lake, and The East Machias River all support Bass populations. Brook trout are found in almost all the waters. Chain Pickerel abound, and are taken through the ice on almost any day during the icefishing season.
